Riverside Industrial Sands draws on some of the finest deposits of silica sand in the world for our sand transport and processing operation which have been trading since 1975. Using a range of high grade silica and bay sand, we produce a wide variety of products that are sold onto manufacturers. In addition to our dredges, we have a fleet of trucks which includes pneumatic tankers and tippers capable of transporting varying quantities of bulk sand and other products around the country.
We are currently looking for a Yard Person to join our team. Based at our Newstead (Skyring Terrace) site, you will perform general yard duties, with safety as your number one priority.
In this role, you will:
- Operate and maintain sand drying plant
- Fill bags and load trucks
- Maintain the presentation of the yard and dedicated machinery
- Ensure adequate stocks of dried sand and fresh water at all times
- Conduct regular maintenance
You will hold a current Forklift Licence, Front End Loader Ticket and:
- be safety focused
- possess a growth mindset
- have sound written and verbal communication skills
- demonstrate attention to detail
- exercise initiative within the scope of your work
- an Elevated Work Platform licence is preferred, but not essential
