Position Purpose

To provide Commercial Management and oversight for the support/accounting services to Rivtow Marine. 

Required Qualifications and Training


  • Accounting Degree
  • Member of a professional accounting body
  • Leadership training

  • Proven ability to work closely with operational management to drive business forward

  • Initiative – the ability to provide initiatives in the business that support the continual  improvement of the business through improved efficiencies, increased safety and cost savings
  • Advanced Excel abilities and good knowledge of ERP software
  • Through understanding of contractual requirements of key contracts
  • Through understanding of the QHSE requirements of the business


Reports to: General Manager- Rivtow Marine

Reporting in: Accounts Payable Officer, Assistant Accountant, Supply Chain coordinator


Major Responsibilities

  • Duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Oversight of the accounting function- AP, AR, Banking and Cashflow, Month end Accounts
  • Financial and Commercial Reporting for the Customer
  • Preparation of Board packs
  • Preparation of analysis for CII and other project initiatives
  • Preparation of yearly Budgets and Quarterly Forecasts
  • Participation in Field Leadership program
  • Mentor & development of direct reports
  • Preparation of performance reviews for direct reports
  • Participation in the recruitment processes where applicable
  • Implementation and maintenance of Systems and Procedures
  • Participation in the Crew Admin Incentive Review Process
  • Participation in the Corporate KPI process
  • Contribute to the continual improvement of the QHSE system
  • Assistance with maintaining an effective system of internal control, including critical review of existing systems of internal control and design and implementation of new internal control procedures

Authority to Act

Approval of spend to $5000.

Additional authority to spend when deputising for General Manager
