Join Riverside Industrial Sands, a family owned, long standing and respected sand processing  dredging business which prides itself on quality outcomes for our customers. We’re looking for an experienced and confident Marine Operations Manager to join our team at Riverside Industrial Sands, QLD. The roles primary focus is to increase the utilisation of the business’s dredging assets through the identification and development of future dredging campaigns throughout Austalia and the pacific, whilst ensuring compliance to ISM and ISO standards.

Duties:

  • Ensuring all safety policies and procedures are adhered too and participate in safety audits.
  • Actively monitor dredging opportunities and identify projects aligned to the business goals.
  • Be a key participant in the tendering process, whilst identifying suitable assets for the business to utilise in various dredging projects.
  • Oversee dredging campaigns ensuring customer specifications are met.
  • Oversee and ensure our assets are maintained and presented to the highest standard and ‘always ready’ for service.
  • Actively engage with customers to ensure relationships are built and grown. Lead the organisation in business efficiency, productivity and sales opportunities.

The successful candidate:

  • Previous experience in the tendering and management of dredging projects with knowledge of Australian projects advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience and application of the various dredging methods.
  • A marine qualification with sound understanding of marine compliance
  • A leader in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment with a sound knowledge of statutory requirements
  • Strong time management, computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks with varying levels of priority
